Cancer of the cervix: from diagnosis to treatment
When the patient presents a smear suggestive of precancerous lesions (CIN2-3). The treatment is to remove the lesion. Not requiring prolonged hospitalization, this simple act which is performed under local anesthesia can eradicate these lesions in 95% of cases. The volume of the neck is usually kept which does not compromise these young women their fertility or their future midwifery.
Each of these treatments is accompanied by a post-treatment follow-up to ensure the disappearance of the virus or its non-evolution. This monitoring is essentially based on smears and colposcopy control. The HPV test should quickly break into this type of monitoring.
